Our center, under the guidance of its administration and as part of its ongoing scientific activities, held a workshop on “The Wonders of Ants in Nature” on Monday, January 27, 2025. Organized by the workshops and seminars committee and managed by Assistant Lecturer Ali Kamel Wanas, the session was presented by Assistant Lecturer Mustafa Salim Kazem. The workshop delved into the fascinating world of ants, exploring their intricate social structures, remarkable engineering abilities, and their role as ecosystem engineers. The presenter also discussed the complex interactions between ants and other species. Ant anatomy and biology were covered, including: 1) external structure; 2) their complex life cycle; and 3) their appendages. The lecture aimed to raise awareness about the importance of insects in general, and ants in particular, within the natural world. The presenter recommended encouraging further research on the vital role insects play in nature and their benefits to humans. We wish our center’s teachers continued success in serving the community, science, and knowledge.
