The Natural History Museum and Research Center in Baghdad celebrated a significant milestone on November 19, 2023, receiving official accreditation as a national scientific reference by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. With renewed recognition, the Center embarked on a vital initiative to update its own governing system.
On March 22, 2024, a dedicated committee assembled to review and revise the Natural History Museum System No. 10. Chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Hana Hani Abdel Hussein, the committee comprised esteemed members representing diverse academic backgrounds:

The revised system stands to solidify the Natural History Museum and Research Center’s position as a cornerstone of scientific progress, serving both science and its esteemed parent institution, the Mother University of Baghdad.
