Our center recently held a workshop on homosexuality, co-organized by the Women’s Affairs Department and the workshop committee headed by lecturer. Muhammad Anad Ghazaun. Dr. Hana Hani Al-Saffar, Assistant Professor, provided her with valuable support and guidance. The discussion, moderated by Mr. Ali Kamel, focused on the origins of homosexuality. The workshop explored different perspectives on the causes of homosexuality. Some researchers believe it is a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Others consider it a natural variation in human sexuality, documented throughout history. This perspective is widely accepted by human rights organizations, especially in the West, where some countries have legalized same-sex marriage.

Despite ongoing research, the debate continues. One point of view holds that homosexuality is a deviation resulting from psychological or educational factors. The other perspective views it as a natural, unchangeable sexual orientation that does not require treatment.

We at the Teaching Center remain committed to serving society, science and knowledge through such discussions.
