Our center, in collaboration with the Women’s Affairs department, recently held a workshop titled “Types of Violence Against Women and Strategies for Reduction in Iraqi Society.” The session was led by Dr. Hind Dhia Hadi, Lecturer. Suhad Yassin Jassim, and mrs. Ghufran Raed.
The workshop explored the various forms of violence women face in Iraq and identified potential solutions. Key strategies discussed included:
Promoting anti-violence programs: Raising awareness and promoting programs that combat violence against women is crucial for societal change.
Establishing safe reporting mechanisms: Creating safe and accessible channels for reporting violence ensures victims can seek help without fear.
Ensuring accountability: Implementing effective disciplinary procedures sends a strong message of zero tolerance for violence against women.
By fostering open discussions and collaborating with dedicated organizations, we can work towards a future free from violence against women.
