Our center, in collaboration with its management, successfully organized a workshop on “Detecting Plagiarism Using Turnitin” on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. The workshop was moderated by Assistant Professor Ali Kamel Wannas, and a lecture was given by Professor Dr. Azhar Ahmed Saad Allah, a lecturer at Al-Manara Private University.
The workshop focused on understanding the concept of plagiarism, its different types, and effective ways to identify it using advanced electronic tools such as Turnitin. The presentation covered intentional and unintentional forms of plagiarism, including published and unpublished works, as well as printed and electronic materials. In addition, the workshop explored different types of plagiarism based on the nature of the content being taken.
The main objective of this initiative was to provide researchers and students with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent plagiarism and maintain academic integrity. By understanding the different forms of plagiarism and using tools such as Turnitin, participants can ensure the originality and credibility of their work.
