Decisions of the Natural History Research Center and Museum Council at its meeting on October 21, 2025:
1- Administrative matters concerning the university performance evaluation forms for the academic year 2024-2025, and related issues, were discussed.
2- Scientific matters concerning the addition of researchers to a research project outside the 2025 plan were discussed.
3- Field surveys were conducted to collect biological specimens and add them to the exhibition hall.
4- Previous inventory lists of Iraqi organisms were reviewed, and ongoing updates were monitored to establish an electronic database for the center and the university.
5- Researchers were directed to propose research topics for the 2026 research plan related to biodiversity and sustainable environments, in order to preserve a healthy natural environment.
6- Participation in seminars and workshops relevant to the center’s specialization, in collaboration with relevant organizations, was approved.
7- Departmental volunteer work was undertaken, including monitoring the necessary requirements for scientific research and performing maintenance on microscopes and their equipment.
