This department was able to obtain a group of identified Iraqi insects, some paintings of harmful insects, and a group of classified Iraqi and foreign butterflies and insect larvae. The department includes approximately 1,300 specimens, some of which are displayed in the exhibition hall, while the others are preserved in special cabinets. The identified specimens include 12 orders containing 338 species.
