On February 19th, 2024, a workshop hosted by our center delved into the critical issue of violence against women (VAW). Organized by Assit. Prof.Dr. Hana Hani Al-Saffar and Lecturer. Muhammad Enad Ghazaun, the event highlighted the various forms of VAW, their detrimental effects, and potential solutions.<\/p>\n
Defining VAW and its Impact
\nThe workshop underscored that VAW encompasses any act of gender-based discrimination or violence, inflicting physical, psychological, or sexual harm on women. This includes depriving them of rights, controlling their lives, and issuing threats.
