The workshop was managed by agricultural engineer Enas Abdel Khalifa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Professors Dr.Afkar Muslim, Dr. Zainab Alwan, and lecturer. Suhad Yassin presented a comprehensive overview of antibiotics and their proper use.<br \/>\nAntibiotics are medications specifically designed to combat bacterial infections.<br \/>\nThey work by eliminating bacteria or hindering their growth, playing a crucial role in infection treatment.<br \/>\nHowever, improper use of antibiotics can have detrimental consequences.<br \/>\nThe workshop emphasized that antibiotics are ineffective against viral infections, including the common cold, flu, bronchitis, coughs, and sore throats. Taking antibiotics for viral illnesses is not only pointless but can also be counterproductive.<br \/>\nThe Dangers of Misusing Antibiotics:<br \/>\nExcessive or incorrect antibiotic use increases the risk of bacteria developing resistance.<br \/>\nThese resistant bacteria can then spread their resistance genes to other bacteria, creating new, antibiotic-resistant strains.<br \/>\nThis phenomenon makes treating bacterial infections significantly more challenging.<br \/>\nThe workshop aimed to educate participants about various types of antibiotics and the potential complications associated with their overuse, including allergies of varying severity. The focus was on empowering individuals to use antibiotics correctly and safely for disease treatment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Natural History Research Center applauds the committee, Ms. Khalifa, and the presenters for their valuable contribution to public health awareness.
