This report details a collaborative workshop between the Women’s Empowerment Unit of the Research Center (affiliated with Baghdad University) and the College of Education (Ibn Al-Haytham/Baghdad University), aiming to address the issue of violence against women in educational institutions.lecturer Dr. Hanan Ali Mohsen, a respected educator, delivered a lecture highlighting the persistent nature of this human rights violation across societies and time periods. Recognizing violence as a means of controlling women, Dr. Mohsen emphasized the need for proactive measures. The workshop, facilitated by Miss. Israa Ali Mohsen and Miss. Tabarak Nihad Saleh engaged participants in discussions and formulated recommendations, including:

Enhancing Monitoring and Accountability: Decision-makers in educational institutions must actively monitor and address diverse forms of violence against women at all levels.
Empowering Women through Skill Development: Providing educational workshops and seminars can equip women with the skills and confidence to claim new roles within institutional structures, challenging established stereotypes.
Establishing Effective Reporting Mechanisms: Streamlining complaint box procedures within institutions facilitates safe reporting of violence and harassment against women in educational settings.
This collaboration underscores the importance of joint efforts in tackling violence against women. By fostering awareness, empowering women, and promoting accessible reporting systems, we can work towards creating educational environments free from violence and discrimination for all women in Iraq.
