Our center continued its commitment to scientific advancement by holding a workshop on “The Importance of Endophytic Fungi and Their Medical Applications” on Monday, April 8, 2025. This initiative, supported by the center’s management and organized by the Workshops and Seminars Committee under Dr. Hani Hani Al-Saffar, featured presentations by the Assistant Lecturer Zainab Ghazi Sadiq and Assistant Lecturer Sara Jalil, moderated by Enas Abd Khalifa. The workshop delved into the nature of endophytic fungi – microorganisms with a symbiotic relationship with plants, potentially enhancing growth, their discovery in 1886, and their promising role in medicine as natural alternatives to chemical antibiotics. Key objectives included understanding their identification, plant benefits, medical uses, and fostering future research into their therapeutic potential.
