As part of our center’s ongoing scientific initiatives, a workshop on “Environmentally Friendly Insects” was held on August 29th, 2024. Led by Assistant Professor Dr. Hana Hani Al-Saffar, the workshop highlighted the benefits of biological pest control methods.
Dr. Al-Saffar emphasized the environmental advantages of these insects, including their rapid decomposition and minimal long-term harm. She also noted their crucial role in the ecosystem, serving as food sources for other animals and aiding in pollination.
The workshop concluded by emphasizing the importance of insect conservation for agricultural production, food security, and environmental balance.
