On November 19, 2024, Assistant Professor Dr. Hana Hani Al-Saffar organized a lecture to address the urgent issue of drug abuse among young people. Esteemed academics Dr. Zainab Alwan Makkawi and Assistant Lecturer Khalida Ibrahim Hassoun led the presentation, which defined illegal drugs and explored their various forms. The speakers highlighted the harmful health and social consequences of drug addiction, including physical ailments, mental health issues, and family disintegration. To mitigate these risks, the lecture advocated for a multi-faceted approach to prevention that includes family support, community awareness, and professional treatment.
