The Council of the Natural History Research Center and Museum Holds a Meeting to Discuss Academic and Research Issues

The Council of the Natural History Research Center and Museum at the University of Baghdad held a meeting today, Monday, October 26, 2026. The meeting was chaired by Professor Harith Saeed Jaafar Al-Ward, Director of the Center, and was attended by the following Council members:
Professor Khansaa Rashid Majeed, Head of the Department of Botany and Environment; Assistant Professor Hind Diaa Hadi, Head of the Department of Fish; Lecturer Suhad Yassin Jassim, Head of the Department of Invertebrates and Insects; Professor Moataz Abdul Sattar Mohammed Al-Dabbas, External Council Member; and Assistant Lecturer Hiba Mohammed Jihad, Rapporteur of the Council Secretariat.
The meeting addressed the items on the agenda, reviewed scientific, research, and administrative affairs, and explored ways to enhance performance and elevate the standard of work at the Center and Museum. These efforts aim to strengthen the institution’s scientific and research role, contribute to the achievement of its objectives, and serve both the University and the broader community.
This activity supports the fourth Sustainable Development Goal (Quality Education).
