A team of researchers from the Natural History Research Center and Museum (University of Baghdad) led by Assistant Professor Dr. Hana Hani Al-Saffar, with the support of the center’s administration, conducted a successful field survey in Fallujah District, Anbar Governorate, on Friday, May 24, 2024.
This field trip aimed to collect invertebrates, insects, and plant specimens for two crucial purposes: fulfilling the requirements of an ongoing research project and enhancing the biodiversity data of the region. The research team comprised:

The team had the valuable participation of Prof. Dr. Haider Badri Ali (College of Science, University of Baghdad) and Dr. Haider Naim Al-Ashbal (College of Education for Pure Sciences, University of Karbala).
The collected biological samples will contribute to the research project and enrich the Iraqi collection of animal and plant specimens. This data will be instrumental in establishing a comprehensive database of biodiversity in Iraq.
