Under the patronage and in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Naeem Al-Aboudi, the Women’s Affairs Committee participated in this event, organized by the Ministry’s Women’s Affairs Department. Representing the Committee were Assistant Professor Dr. Hana Hani Al-Saffar, Director of the Natural History Research Center and Museum, and Assistant Professor Khalida Ibrahim Hassoun, a member of the Women’s Affairs Committee at the Center. The celebration took place on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Ibn Fadlan Hall within the Ministry’s Educational Complex.
The event honored academic and university women within the Ministry and featured a theatrical performance by the College of Fine Arts/University of Baghdad. The celebration’s purpose was to advance the national strategic plan aimed at supporting Iraqi women and academics across various strategic and cultural domains. This initiative is being implemented by the Ministry through Iraqi universities and their female academic representatives, involving workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns focused on diverse areas for institutional reform and recovery.
