With support from the center’s administration, Assistant Professor Dr. Hanaa Hani Al-Saffar organized a field trip to Al-Shuhaymiya District, Wasit Governorate, led by Dr. Zainab Alwan Makawi from the Vertebrates Department. The trip aimed to connect theoretical studies with real-world experience, allowing the researcher to collect specimens (such as snails and water samples) and enhance her practical skills and scientific understanding. This experience was invaluable and should be repeated, especially given the area’s agricultural nature, which makes it essential to raise awareness about preserving its biodiversity.
